To source portable horse panels, start with the animals and layout, then agree panel dimensions, tube diameter and wall thickness, clear openings, gates, connectors, finish and packing. Send the quantity and destination with a drawing so the quotation describes the complete order.

Start With The Animals & Layout
Portable horse panels are welded steel tube sections used to create paddocks, round pens, temporary lanes and event enclosures. A ranch, equestrian center and farm supply distributor may need different panel and gate combinations. Describe the horses, intended use and setup before comparing prices.
For a round pen, include the target diameter, panel count and gate position. For a paddock or lane, mark the runs, corners and access points on a sketch. For distributor stock, list each configuration separately so size, finish, hardware and packing can be repeated. See the application examples and panel and gate systems.
Write A Complete Panel Specification
Pangdi’s horse panel range includes quotation references of 8, 10, 12 and 16 ft lengths and common heights of 4–6 ft. Round or oval tube references include 32 × 1.4 mm and 42 × 1.3–1.6 mm. These are options to discuss against the application, rather than a single specification for every horse or enclosure.
| Detail | Information To Include | What To Check |
|---|---|---|
| Size & rails | Length, height, rail count and clear openings | State units and show bottom clearance, corners and gate gaps on the drawing. |
| Tube & welds | Tube shape, outside size and wall thickness | Confirm smooth contact points, full welds and burr removal. |
| Connections | Pins, chains, feet and connection positions | For an existing system, provide measurements and close photos of the mating parts. |
| Gates | Quantity, clear opening, hinges and latch type | Show the access position and list gates separately from ordinary panels. |
| Finish & packing | Coating process, color and bundle requirements | Agree the finish layers, separation between panels and pallet arrangement. |
Rail count alone does not define a clear opening. Include the gaps and relevant animal size when discussing hoof-catching risk. Check frame, weld, foot and latch details together; the layout and intended use determine the final specification.
Choose The Finish & Inspection Points
Green powder coating is a common color option, with other colors and galvanized finishes available for discussion. Specify the process as well as the color. A quoted 120–160 μm powder layer describes the powder coating, not the zinc layer below it. The finish comparison guide explains the questions to ask.
Pangdi’s production route covers fabrication, welding, surface preparation and the agreed finish. The six inspection stages cover incoming material, welds, dimensions, surface preparation, coating and finished assembly. Identify the dimensions, connections and gate movement that need checking against your drawing.
Confirm Samples, Packing & Order Timing
MOQ starts from 100 pcs. Custom samples can be arranged with the sample fee and freight confirmed for the design. State what the sample should demonstrate, such as connector fit, rail arrangement, color or a gate detail, and agree it against the production specification.
The packing references are approximately 35 panels per iron pallet and 260–390 panels per container. Confirm the container type, panel dimensions, feet, gate mix and pallet layout before using these figures for shipment planning. Review packing and loading details, including panel separation, strapping and handling requests.
Ask for sample timing and the production schedule for the actual order. Include the quantity, finish and destination. A daily production reference does not by itself establish when a mixed panel-and-gate order will be ready.
